Eildon Tailwaters, Goulburn River and its tributaries and Eildon Pondage

Now the summer irrigation flows and environmental flows are cut back and we can expect our most productive river the Goulburn, to drop to levels which enable wading and crossing. its an excellent time to try your nymphing skills and to check out exposed weed beds and hidden gutters as the playing field narrows down to the size of a much smaller river.

We have booked two nights at Thornton Caravan Park (Cabin)

Here's your chance to get away and practice dry-fly, polaroiding, nymphing and quarry-hunting techniques and other specialised techniques. – spend a day, spend two on the rivers – your opportunity to take steps forward in your technique(s)

There is a pub across the road that serves a regular and Chinese menu, and a cafe that serves coffee (and a good burger too)
